How Often & Where Are Bexhill Gradings Held?
SAMA Bexhill karate & kickboxing gradings are held every 2 months. If you are unable to make our Bexhill grade don't worry as we also hold gradings in Eastbourne and Hastings which our students are more than welcome to attend. Our Bexhill grades are held at Bexhill Leisure Centre, Down Road, Bexhill, TN39 4HS. This is a nice venue which includes changing facilities, free parking and its very own Coffee bar with comfortable seating. This is ideal for parents waiting for their children whilst they are training in the pre-grade class. Please use the interactive map on the left if you need directions

What Do I Need To bring to Grade?

Dont forget to bring your white membership book with up to date insurance slip attached for the karate grading or your black membership card with up to date insurance attached for the kickboxing grading. If your child is an orange belt or above they must bring a set of sparing equipment as this is part of their grade test.
Belts are available to buy on the day, colour belts are £4.00 and stripe belts are £4.50. There will also be SAMA merchandise and accessories to buy on the day of the grade, such as bags, drinks bottles, mugs, t-shirts, grade weapons etc which make an ideal gift!
What Is The Pre-Grade Class For?I
We teach a childrens karate class on the day of the grading. This is a specialist class for children who already have 3 blue stripes on their belt or children who are very close to grade and need a final stripe.
The classes are aimed solely at giving our students extra practice on their grade work an hour before the grading begins

This class has many benifits. Aswell as being a refresher on all grade work for the students, it also includes work on breathing, strength, focus etc. Other benifits include: last minute answers to any questions the student has regarding their grade work and an extra confidence boost to shake off any nerves. All very important for achieving a good pass mark

There is no need to pre book for this lesson just come along on the day. The class cost is £4.00 also payable on the day
Who Grades The Students At The Bexhill Grading?

All karate and kickboxing students are graded by Hanshi the SAMA Organisation Chief Instructor
Other Important Grading Information

Kickboxers must wear the SAMA kickboxing uniform, No jewellery at all to be worn
I
Karate students must wear a clean pressed karate gi (suit) complete with the SAMA badge on the left breast. No jewellery at all to be worn. All students taking the orange stripe or above grading must bring a set of sparring equipment as they are required the spar for grade. Students without sparring equipment will automatically drop a pass mark which could result in the student failing their grade
