SAMA ORGANISATION

SAMA currently runs over 20 seperate childrens karate classes each week within the Bexhill, St Leonards and Hastings areas. Our members are welcome to attend any one of our classes which are held straight after school, evenings and weekends. Because we have so many classes this gives parents great flexability and choice when it comes to their childrens training. Our students range from as young as 3 years old as our classes are such great fun!

We also hold our gradings every 2 months in Bexhill and Hastings, so parents don't have to worry about  traveling miles when their child is ready for grade.I

With SAMA if your children don't attend the class for any reason i.e. due to sickness, away on holiday or cant make the class one week YOU DON'T PAY...Compare this to many other martial arts groups and you may be suprised!

DISCIPLINE

Discipline is one of the most important parts of our karate training. Children learn this from us at the very start as they are taught to line up in class, act on orders, learn to behave, to control their anger, control their techniques. They also learn that karate is not to be used to hurt people either at school or outside

RESPECT

From the start our young students learn to respect other children within the class. We feel this is important as without respect in the dojo a karate student would become a danger to themselves and to others

SELF-DEFENCE 

Our students are taught that karate is only to be used as a means of self protection. The philosophy of karate is that the first move starts with a defensive one and not an attack

CONFIDENCE

Mixing with other children in class decreases parent separation anxiety and helps children gain more confidence. We also run 4 children's inter club competitions a year with many children winning trophies and medals. In time we find that many children start to build confidence in themselves helping them at school and with their social skills

CO-ORDINATION

Karate is great for all round co-ordination, it applies the left and also right side of the brain, which is not normally used. Through time we find children can manage many complicated combinations of hands and leg techniques

GOOD MANNERS

Etiquette is an old fashioned word to some people, but good manners costs nothing and this is part of our teaching

HEALTHY EXERCISE

Within the SAMA system children enjoy what would be boring and tedious exercise. Our system gives them the full benefit of an all round healthy exercise program building a healthy body for the future, giving them strong bones, muscles and fitness

There is no need to pre-book, just come along about 15 minutes prior to the start time of your chosen class

to fill out a simple medical registration form. Dress your child in suitable clothing for exercising. Classes last for 45 minutes for beginners until they reach their first grade (red belt), then classes last for 1 hour from then on. Remember classes are only £4 PAY AS YOU GO and fees are paid on the day
