Our demo's have been going down a storm this Summer, we have performed at many school and church fetes and other various Summer fun days. A big well done to all those who have taken part in the demo's you have been excellent! We have many more demonstrations lined up over the next month so be sure to look out for us! HASTINGS SUMMER CAMP 2010
New this year we have our Summer Camp! The camp will run for 4 days through the first week of school Summer holidays and will be held at St Pauls School in Hastings. The camp will include loads of great activities for the kids such as karate training, weapons, sumo suits, bouncy castle, fitness, games and much more! You have the option of booking up just a day or go for the whole week! The camp is open to any of our members so would also be great for our Bexhill karate kids. Please see your class instructor who is handing out the booking forms now!
SAMA KARATE KIDS BRIGHTON INTER-CLUB COMPETITION
A BIG WELL DONE to the Hastings/Bexhill students who attended the SAMA interclub competition held in Brighton on Sunday 27th June 2010. Unlike our other comps this one was a little quieter than normal due to the fact that it was absolutely boiling outside that day and mainly because England were playing Germany in the world cup!!! But this was great for the dedicated ones who went along to the comp as they had a really good chance of taking home some trophies and medals!.
Pictured right are Kyle and Chloe the Hastings/Bexhill students who attended, Kyle won 2nd place in kumite (sparring) and 3rd place in kata, chloe won runner up in kumite. We also had another Hastings student attend, Ewan who also did very well but we could'nt grab him in time for the photo, but well done Ewan!
All of these guys had a great day and gained competition experience...Well done to the parents also for putting yourselves out and coming accross to Brighton...Judging by the way England were useless and got battered by Germany that day I think you made the right choice and the kids came out on top by coming to the comp!!!
NEW HASTINGS THURSDAY NIGHT KIDS KARATE CLASS
We have a new kids karate class at Hillcrest Sports Centre in Rye Road, Hastings every Thursday at 5.30pm. All grades are welcome as well as any beginners wishing to start. Please contact us if you need further details on this class
NEW BEXHILL & HASTINGS KIDS KICKBOXING CLASSES
We have 2 new kids kickboxing classes. The first is held every Monday at Bexhill Leisure Centre, Down Road, Bexhill at 5.30pm. NEW BEXHILL KICKBOXING CLASS
We have a new adults / youths kickboxing class at Bexhill College on Monday evenings at 7.15pm. All grades are welcome at the class as well as any new beginners wishing to start. Please contact us if you need further details
SAMA PORTSLADE KIDS KARATE COMPETITION
A big WELL DONE! to all students from the Bexhill, St Leonards and Hastings areas who attended the SAMA interclub competition held at the Portslade sports centre on Sunday 28th Feb 2010.
Kyle Hobgen (pictured right) from Hastings walked away with a 1st place trophy for kumite (sparring) and a 1st place trophy for kata! which added to his last double win at the SAMA Brighton competiton (read about it on our 'archive' page). Also well done to Alienor Gregg-Smith also from Hastings for taking 3rd place in the kata section which was a great result as she was attending her first comp.
So again WELL DONE! to ALL students who made the trip down to Portslade to compete and look out for the next comp held in Brighton on June 27th 2010
